Frequently Asked Questions
Path Search
Question 1
Is Path Search an AI tool?
No.
Path Search does not use artificial intelligence to generate, interpret or predict responses. Its reflections are created in advance by psychologists and practitioners and are grounded in the Meaningful Paths Mountain Framework.
You remain in control of what you choose to explore and how you interpret each reflection.
Question 2
What makes Path Search different from AI tools such as ChatGPT?
AI tools generate responses dynamically using patterns learned from large datasets.
Path Search offers a structured, human-created reflective experience grounded in existential psychology. It does not analyse your words or attempt to diagnose, predict or make decisions for you.
Its purpose is to help you pause, reflect and consider your own direction.
Question 3
Is my reflection content stored or tracked?
Path Search does not collect, store or analyse the personal questions or reflection content you enter into the app.
Your reflective activity remains private. Only limited technical or account information required for the app to function may be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Question 4
Is Path Search a therapy app?
No.
Path Search is a self-guided reflective tool. It is not therapy, a diagnostic service or a substitute for professional mental-health support.
Anyone experiencing significant distress or mental-health difficulties should seek support from a suitably qualified professional or an appropriate local service.
Question 5
Who is Path Search suitable for?
Path Search is suitable for people aged 13 and over.
We recommend that anyone under the age of 18 uses Path Search with the awareness and support of a parent or guardian, as we recommend for any form of digital use.
