Path Note — What Is Existential Analysis
Existential Analysis is a therapeutic and reflective approach that helps us respond to life’s questions with authenticity and meaning — instead of reacting from habit or fear. It explores four core human needs, known as the Four Fundamental Motivations:
➟ Space & Safety — feeling secure and having room to exist.
➟ Connection & Belonging — knowing we are loved and can love.
➟ Authentic Self — living true to who we really are.
➟ Meaning & Purpose — acting in ways that feel valuable and worthwhile.
When life feels heavy or confusing, Existential Analysis invites us to pause and ask:
“Am I acting out of habit and pressure — or from a place of authentic choice and what truly matters?”
