Path Note — Difficult People
“Between stimulus and response there is a space.
In that space is our power to choose our response.” — Viktor Frankl
When dealing with difficult people, pause before reacting.
➟ Focus on the situation at hand, not the person’s emotions (respond, do not react).
➟ Respond with calm clarity — don’t let them enter your boundaries.
➟ Consider that their behaviour may stem from their own journey: anxiety, hurt, or disconnection. Internally, you can feel compassion without accepting mistreatment.
