Helen Pope;

“I made this photobook a couple of years ago because I wanted to document in a simple, visual way, the amazing progress that has been made by Kizungu Hubert and the Tchukudu Kids’ orphanage since I first encountered them in 2009. For 11 years now I have visited them, supported them and photographed their evolution. I wanted to have the book as a personal reminder of what can be achieved if you believe something is possible. I wanted to give a copy to Kizungu so that he and his community of orphans, widows, and other vulnerable people could see just how far they had come. And I wanted to share the story with friends so they might be encouraged and inspired by what wonderful things can be accomplished, even in the most difficult and desperate circumstances.”
